Susan Brown

Living and working on the Wirral Peninsula offers many subjects for paintings.

The miles of coastline gives us images of people at play, especially children, working and pleasure boats and seaside scenes.  There are views across the Dee estuary to the Welsh Hills and across the Mersey to the Liverpool skyline.  My daughter now works for the British Horse Society and this made me conscious of that aspect of the rural part of our peninsula. There are city scenes in Liverpool and docks on both sides of the Mersey. There is a strong cycling community of both amateur and professional clubs.  I have recently started a series of paintings that reflect this exciting and energetic sport.

Travelling also provides inspiration and recent journeys include France, Greece, Spain, Vienna and the U.S.A.

I have works in private collections in North America, South America, Australia and Europe as well as Britain and take commissions.
