Nicky Taylor has been an illustrator and freelance writer for 20 years. She was a resident cartoonist at The Star newspaper, one of South Africa’s leading daily newspapers, where she worked for 12-yrs, followed by 7-yrs at the Yorkshire Post in Leeds.
She has freelanced for most major publishing houses in London and has been used by such clients as the BBC and Channel 4.
She provided daily caricatures to illustrate the television coverage of the 1996 Tour de France and for three years in the mid-1990’s produced weekly theatre caricatures.
For many years pen and ink was her favoured medium for the newspaper cartooning and caricature work, but she now prefers mixed-media and illustrating scenes from local towns and villages.
Nicky now freelances from Battle on the south coast of England.
