Jean Peters
I started painting as a pastime following my retirement, and have become hooked ever since.
Up until two years ago I was exhibiting in local art exhibitions around my home in Berkshire, England. Since then I have moved down to Sussex where I now enjoy painting around the beautiful South Downs, and have joined various local art groups.
I like to paint in a variety of mediums, Pastels, Oils, Acrylics, and also Watercolour.

“Jean’s paintings not only capture a scene in a very pleasing way, each one generates its own kind of heat too. Landscapes depicting French, Spanish or Italian vistas have a certain Mediterranean heat in their colours, whilst English landscapes tend to be of a cooler colour. This adds to the stimulating effect of placing individual viewers at that particular location and is quite enchanting.”
